Ale Glass engraved with hops and barley, English, c.1750

 

Drawn funnel bowl supported on a plain stem containing an air tear. The foot is of the folded conical variety. The bowl is engraved with two crossed ears of barely, the reverse with hop fruit and two leaves. Expected wear to the underside edge of the base and a rough pontil mark.

Condition: Excellent - no chips, cracks or restoration.

Dimensions: Height 6" (15.2cm)
