Saucer, New Hall, hybrid hard paste porcelain, c.1785

 

This early New Hall saucer is painted with a charming oriental garden scene, known as the desirable pattern 20. A Long Eliza-type figure holds a parasol and points towards a child who presents a flower with one hand whilst carrying a windmill toy in the other.

Provenance: Tudor House Antiques label.

Condition: Perfect.
