Saucer, New Hall, bone china, c.1814

This pretty saucer is painted in the attractive enamelled Doll's House pattern. The pattern consists of a blue enamel and iron-red house on an island, with a pair of large blue flowers, iron-red leaves and florets in the foreground. This 'cottagy' oriental style design was based on Chinese export wares. Several early nineteenth-century manufactories produced versions of this pattern, including Machin and Spode.

Condition: Good - no chips, cracks or restoration. There is sign of wear to the enamel decoration on the rim.

Dimensions: Diameter 5 5/8" (14.3cm)
